Benise's 'Spanish Nights' features the passion and grace of Flamenco combined with fiery Spanish guitar. 'Spanish Nights' showcases classic songs from Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, The Eagles, and combines them with Spanish guitar and Spanish dance. Benise's love of both Spanish guitar and rock brings a fierce intensity to these new interpretations of his favorite classic anthems. In addition to Spanish Flamenco, Benise and troupe take us on an unprecedented and epic adventure through Cuba Salsa, Brazilian Samba, Argentine Tango, and Parisian Waltz.   1. Hays Symphony Opening Gala Concert

    The evening's program-- Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man Copland’s Lincoln Portrait with Brenda Meder, narrator Copland’s Appalachian Spring Bernstein’s Candide Overture with Shah Sadikov, conductor Many consider Aaron Copland to be the musical voice of America. This concert features a trio of Copland’s most popular pieces—the simple and folksy Appalachian Spring, the majestic and brassy Fanfare for the Common Man, and the stirring Lincoln Portrait which includes narrated excerpts from Abraham Lincoln’s letters and the Gettysburg Address. The program rounds out with the boisterous Candide Overture. Join us for our opening concert of the season, with great music, special activities, a pre-concert talk and post-concert reception! This concert is sponsored by a generous donation from Auto World (Kay & Dick Werth). The post-concert reception is sponsored by Werth Wealth Management.
